On July 1st, CVS Health and the Boston Red Sox Foundation helped a group of Veterans from NECHV and other organizations start the Independence Day weekend off right by hosting them for the day at the historic Fenway Park to participate in the CVS Health Baseball Camp. This is the sixth year the camp was offered to area Veterans.
Veterans were treated to lunch in the Red Sox dugout, followed by batting instruction with Hitting Coach Chili Davis and Assistant Hitting Coach Victor Rodriguez. Those new skills were put to good use when Veterans had the chance to take a few swings at the Green Monster. The group was also given a VIP tour of the park, and each Veteran was given a ticket to that night’s game and saw the Sox win against the Los Angeles Angels.
