In May 2015, Fidelity Investments launched their annual Fidelity Cares Day, engaging a total workforce of 2,000 employees in 52 unique non-profit organizations. The New England Center and Home for Veterans welcomed ten of these generous volunteers in the Center’s Veterans Training School for a morning of direct service.
Employing Veterans is a community effort, and it was with great pleasure that these volunteers donated their time to NECHV and the Veterans it serves by providing essential training in the form of one-on-one resume review and mock interview sessions. This was an engaging Veterans Training School project, with each and every one of the volunteers making an immediate impact on the Veterans they worked with.
NECHV, and specifically the Training School staff, were thrilled to have the support of Fidelity Investments. Their assistance is essential to the mission of ending homelessness amongst Veterans, empowering them with the skills to lead healthy, independent lives. We were honored to be a part of Fidelity Cares Day.
