NECHV was honored to have 3 runners tackling the 2016 Boston Marathon to raise awareness of the issues Veterans face upon returning to civilian life and the funds necessary for NECHV to continue to provide the services it offers to Veterans. Each of the 3 runners has a personal connection to the Center making their races meaningful.
Sean Terry, Operations Manager of the NECHV Supportive Services for Veteran Families team, completed the Marathon with a final time of 4:51:17 despite a back injury that has plagued him throughout his training process.
Nick Picardo is the Assistant Project Manager for Consigli Construction and has played a major role in the renovations at NECHV, which inspired him to run on behalf of the Veterans served at the Center. His official finish time was 4:23:40.
Mike Warriner served for 28 years as an officer in the United States Navy. This was his second year running on behalf of NECHV, and his official finish time was 4:43:17.
Thank you to our runners for your dedication and perseverance throughout your training and the race, and thank you to their many supporters whose encouragement and contributions were instrumental in helping them cross the finish line.
