Merrimack Valley
The New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV) has announced a strategic partnership with the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center (VNEOC). This partnership is designed to expand and improve the support and service programs available for Veterans in the Merrimack Valley Region. The New England Center and Home for Veterans, Merrimack Valley (NECHV MV) is assuming the operations, management and ownership of many of the VNEOC’s existing Veteran housing and support facilities, as well as its services such as its U.S. Department of Veterans Affair (VA), Grant and Per Diem (GPD) Transition in Place (TIP) Program. The NECHV MV team is committed to ensuring there is no disruption to current Veteran services.
The NECHV’s community-based Veteran service programs, including its VA Supportive Services for Veterans and Families (SSVF) and the Massachusetts Executive Office of Veterans Services, Housing Outreach-to-Placement Effort (HOPE) programs have expanded significantly in the Merrimack Valley Region in recent years, and helped point to the value of this partnership with VNEOC. These services are designed to help Veterans obtain and maintain permanent housing and to connect to needed support and services, including case management, peer support, behavioral health, employment, training, financial assistance, and benefits.
