Special Forum with Congressman Seth Moulton at NECHV
On Monday, December 5, New England Center and Home for Veterans hosted a special breakfast forum for nonprofit workers with Congressman Seth Moulton. The forum was presented by the Highland Street Foundation and the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN). After a short networking session and light breakfast, the 150 attendees listened to prepared remarks from Congressman Moulton and had the opportunity to ask questions.
The congressman, who is a Veteran, has been particularly focused on economic growth for families and improving Veterans’ health care. He reflected on his first term in Congress and his hopes for his next term, as well as the recent presidential election. Moulton fielded questions about how a new administration might affect nonprofits and spoke about his belief that all citizens should serve their country and communities, whether through the military, volunteer, or as part of a nonprofit.
At the end of the forum, attendees still had many questions for Moulton, demonstrating the high amount of interest his presentation generated. NECHV was honored to have the opportunity to host the forum, and we thank Congressman Moulton, MNN, Highland Street Foundation, and the many attendees for an exciting and productive event.
