The 2018 Greater Boston Stand Down Reaches 645 Veterans

The 2018 Greater Boston Stand Down took place on September 7 at Boston City Hall Plaza. Just over 600 local Veterans attended to receive services from over 100 providers at no cost, including health and dental care, housing assistance, and legal expertise. Job placement opportunities were also available to Veterans who attended. Live music from local bands played throughout the day, and Veterans could participate in tai chi exercises and music therapy circles.

The NECHV is proud to host an event that brings Veterans the services they need in one place. The Greater Boston Stand Down would not be successful without the assistance of our public and private partners, and the service providers and volunteers who donate their skills, knowledge, effort, and time.
